Project Background
OMS Field Services, LLC (OMS FS) staff were engaged by a private, investor-owned utility to conduct surveys of dead and dying trees near electric system assets in support of facility protection, safety, and fire risk reduction efforts related to utility electric distribution and transmission system assets.
Scope
OMS FS consulting utility foresters, tree risk assessors, certified tree safety professionals, ISA certified arborists and master arborists evaluated utility rights-of-way for dead and dying trees as part of our client’s CEMA mid-cycle patrol program related to protection of electric facilities, fire risk, and system integrity. OMS FS staff contacted utility customers, managed customer interactions, identified vegetation management prescriptions, monitored tree crews, and validated tree removal and trimming actions.
