Project Background
OMS Group, LLC (OMS) were engaged by our client to help them assess if it were feasible to conduct an aggregate crushing operation with locally sourced materials as part of a multi-phased, multi-year landfill site development project. OMS staff were asked to explore multiple pilot program configurations and optimize them for production at up to 2,000 tons per day of crushed and sized materials. The site owner also needed site infrastructure and roads to be developed for subsequent phases of landfill developments in multiple cells.
Scope
OMS’ engineering and CAD design teams developed site design and supporting drawings in support of permitting. Staff also developed site permits, water management plans, and erosion control plans. Staff value engineered gravel crushing operations and implemented a pilot and full-scale crushing operation to generate over 80,000 yards of sized gravels for use in landfills. OMS staff also provided construction and project management services to develop site roads, lay-down, staging, and other infrastructure for landfill development.
